Municipal Police Department
The Municipal Police Department (MPD) was created in a compact between the Los Santos and Blaine County Governments to consolidate and standardize law enforcement services to growing municipalities in multiple areas. These services are provided under two titles: the Los Santos Police Department and the Senora Valley Police.
Senora Valley Police Service Cities
The Municipal Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency providing 24/7 law enforcement services to the municipalities to which we serve. MPD currently maintains a continually growing full-time and part-time staff of Police Officers, four operational subdivisions, multiple patrol certifications, and three police substations.
The Patrol Division provides proactive and reactive patrol of the municipalities we serve. These Police Officers respond to the majority of calls-for-service received, conduct field investigations, and enforce relevant state laws and local municipal ordinances. The Patrol Division is overseen by a Police Captain and two Police Lieutenants.
The Patrol Division presently offers two certifications available for Police Officers:
These certifications further expand our Police Officers' ability to respond to calls and proactive keep the community safe. All Police Officers within the agency are assigned primarily to the Patrol Division.
The Special Operations Division is the overarching division that houses our specialty patrol and investigative divisions. These divisions provide specialty proactive and reactive services to the municipalities we serve. The Special Operations Division is overseen by a Police Captain and each specialty division has a Police Lieutenant and Police Sergeant assigned to it. Police Officers who are assigned to these divisions, except the Tactical Team, serve in a 'Collateral Duty' capacity, meaning they are primarily assigned to the Patrol Division but activate as these upon request or proactively.
Traffic Enforcement Division
The Traffic Enforcement Division (TED) conducts high-intensity proactive traffic enforcement and other services to the community. The TED currently offers the following certifications:
Major Crimes Division
The Major Crimes Division (MCD) conducts in-depth and complex investigations into criminal activities and cases within the Municipal Police Department jurisdiction. The MCD currently offers the following certifications:
Tactical Team Division
The Tactical Team, otherwise known as the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, is the tactical subdivision within the Municipal Police Department. The SWAT Team responds to high risk incidents such as barricaded subjects, hostage situations, and other incidents where their response could be beneficial. The SWAT Team also assists with the service of warrants.
Field Training Division
The Field Training Division is tasked with overseeing the multi-phase training program that new Police Officers complete upon being hired into the Municipal Police.
